2019 Conference Abstract Submission Form for Oral and Poster Presentations 

Please complete the demographic portions of this form for all authors of your abstract submission. There will be another section to indicate the presenters should your abstract be accepted. Please note that all communication will be with the Principle (or Primary) Author for the abstract submission. As we know that some faculty members may go on leave, sabbatical, or have non-teaching / off-contract time, please ensure that the person named as Principle Author will be available by email or phone during the acceptance notification and confirmation period between January 7 and 14, 2019. If we are unable to confirm that you will be presenting once accepted, we may need to replace your presentation. If situations change for the named Principle Author, then please notify the conference committee at: [email protected] 

Please indicate if you are submitting your abstract to be presented as an oral presentation or as a poster presentation. For planning purposes, oral presentation time spots will be 25 minutes long which must include any time for questions or discussion. Sessions will end after 25 minutes allowing attendees 5 minutes to transition to the next next presentation.

Poster viewing sessions will be built into the program and presenters will be asked to be at their posters during this time. Depending on the number of poster abstracts that are submitted, we may need to run multiple poster presentation tracks. Presenters will be notified of the day and time their poster presentation will occur.  

Abstracts may be uploaded below as a WORD or PDF file. Abstracts are to be a maximum of 300 words. They may be single or double spaced but should include the following:

  • Title of presentation
  • Indication of scope of presentation- research study; innovation or scholarship in teaching, learning, or evaluation; professional faculty development, technological advancement for use in teaching and learning, etc. 
  • May follow a journal article abstract format (i.e. Introduction, Purpose or Objectives, Methods, Findings or Results, etc.)
  • Demonstrate the impact or potential impact for nursing education. 
  • Include 2-5 references that are not part of the 300 Word count. Only one document may be uploaded for each abstract submission, so include references in the same document.
